Z-Tech, a part of M Group Services, has been awarded a Framework to provide Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) Inspection and Remediation Services to United Utilities, extending the 10+ year relationship that already exists between both companies.

With over 20 years’ experience using its specialist electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) capability in the water industry, Z-Tech is helping United Utilities keep its sites safe, operational and maintain compliance with the latest DSEAR regulations.

This latest Framework agreement for DSEAR Inspection and Remediation Services will see Z-Tech complete hazardous area inspection and remediation services across the majority of United Utilities’ 1,200 company sites in the North West of England, ranging from large treatment works to regional pumping stations. The framework includes periodic inspections, BAU inspections and remediation services.

Work will involve Z-Tech’s dedicated ATEX and Electrical Services Business Unit; a team of highly skilled CompEx qualified staff who will undertake Hazardous Area Inspections (HAIs) on behalf of the utility.

Z-Tech was previously awarded United Utilities’ Electrical Services in ATEX Zones Framework.
